Hospital Services

• Acute Care Unit
  Contains 15 acute care beds and ten swing beds. These are private beds including isolation rooms for infectious diseases. Visiting hours are from 9a-9p.
  
  
• Dietary
  A registered dietitian is available for inpatient and outpatient nutritional counseling. The cafeteria is open 7 days a week and serves 3 delicious meals a day.
  
  
• DME
  Stevens County Home Oxygen and Equipment provides home oxygen and equipment to assist with activities of daily living. This includes walkers, canes, wheelchairs, bathroom assistant devices and much more. They also have hospital uniforms and accessories.
  
  
• Emergency Department
  24 hours/day physician coverage available. Trauma, cardiac emergency as well as
  non-emergency cases are handled promptly and efficiently.

  Complete line of services available to patients at home including skilled nursing, nursing assistants, physical therapy, diabetic care and wound care.
  
  
• Laboratory
  Laboratory testing includes inpatients and outpatients. A full array of laboratory testing is available including blood bank and microbiology. Services are available 24 hours/day.

  Our physical therapist and physical therapy assistant provide inpatient, outpatient and home health patients with therapy as prescribed by their physicians.

• Stevens County Medical Clinic
  The Stevens County Medical Clinic moved into a brand new facility in July 1999. There are 15 exam rooms, five provider's offices, five nurse stations, waiting room, two procedure rooms, a conference room and business office. The clinic is attached to the hospital. The Rural Health Clinic offers full service family care with same day appointments. The services offered, but not limited to, include: Internal Medicine, Woman's Health, Prenatal Care, Children (newborn - adolescence) and Health Exams (annual, sports, work, driver). We specialize in chronic management of: Diabetes mellitus, Asthma, Geriatric care, High blood pressure, High cholesterol, Adolescence problems, Thyroid Gland problems, Anxiety, Depression and Fibromyalgia.
  
  Our providers offering primary care, family practice, and internal medicine: Samer Al-Hashmi, M.D. - Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Rodrick Heger, D.O. - Board Certified in Family Practice, and Jana Loibl, ARNP -C.
  
  
• Specialty Clinic
  Stevens County Hospital strives to provide additional health care services with  our Specialty clinic program. The clinics are established to provide specialty services and follow-up care to the patients in our community and surrounding areas.
  
  Stevens County Hospital's outpatient specialty clinic has visiting specialists in the following areas:

  Appointment to the Specialty Clinic can be scheduled with the Specialty Clinic Coordinator by calling (620) 544-8339 or directly with visiting physician's office, depending on the requirement of the specialists.
  

• Surgery
  The Surgery Department includes one surgery room, one procedure room, recovery room, and central sterile supply room. The department serves inpatient and outpatients with surgical and endoscopic procedures.
  
  
• Volunteers
